Configuring Master-Slave

1. Requirements

Make sure that

  • Both Charge Controllers have the same controller firmware version. (Check the number at the top right of the Configuration Interface)
  • Both Charge Controllers have the Configuration Interface set as the default. See here.

2. Steps

2.1. Configuring the Master Charge Controller

  1. Connect the Charge Controller that should be the Master to a computer with a micro USB cable through the CONFIG USB port.
  2. Open the Configuration Interface and navigate to the Manufacturer section (http://192.168.123.123/legacy/manufacturer/manufacturer)
  3. Near the bottom of the page, for the Master/Slave Mode field, choose Master
  4. At the bottom of the Legacy Configuration Interface, click to apply the changes

2.2. Configuring the Slave Charge Controller

  1. Connect the Charge Controller that should be the Slave to a computer with a micro USB cable through the CONFIG USB port.
  2. Open the Configuration Interface and navigate to the Manufacturer section (http://192.168.123.123/legacy/manufacturer/manufacturer)
  3. Near the bottom of the page, for the Master/Slave Mode field, choose Slave
  4. At the bottom of the Legacy Configuration Interface, click to apply the changes

2.3. Connecting the Master and Slave

Run a micro USB from the Master's CONFIG USB port to the Slave's Host USB port

3. Accessing the Master and Slave Controllers

Connect a computer with the Slave Charge Controller and access the Master or Slave like so:
